Quenelles MD takes on Trek26 Peak District to support Alzheimer’s Society

Our MD, Paul Wright, recently completed the Trek26 Peak District 2026 challenge in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.

On 27 June, Paul, alongside his wife Kirsty and their son, Noah, joined hundreds of other fundraisers and walked 13 miles through the stunning Peak District National Park. The event saw participants take in the region’s famous hills, dramatic rocky outcrops, wild moorlands and tranquil dales, all while raising vital funds for people affected by dementia.

For Paul, the challenge was personal. He chose to support Alzheimer’s Society because Kirsty’s mum is living with Alzheimer’s disease. Like so many families across the UK, they have experienced first-hand the impact dementia can have on loved ones, making the opportunity to raise funds for the charity especially meaningful.

Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. The charity provides support to those living with dementia today while investing in groundbreaking research and campaigning to ensure dementia receives the attention and priority it deserves.

Collectively, participants in Trek26 Peak District 2026 raised more than £900,000 to help fund this vital work.

Reflecting on the experience, Paul said: “It was an incredibly rewarding day from start to finish. The Peak District is absolutely beautiful, and walking through such amazing scenery made every mile worthwhile. More importantly, knowing we were raising money for a cause that means so much to our family made the experience even more special. Seeing so many people coming together to support Alzheimer’s Society was genuinely inspiring, and I think it’s something I’ll be making an annual tradition.”

Well done to everyone who took part in Trek26, and thank you to everyone who donated in support of this fantastic cause.

If you’d like to support Paul’s fundraising efforts, there’s still time to donate via his fundraising page here.
