A night of celebration and connection: The Public Sector Catering Awards

Last week, our Managing Director, Paul Wright, had the pleasure of attending the Public Sector Catering Awards, held on Thursday 9 April at the Hilton London Metropole.

The event brought together some of the most passionate and dedicated professionals from across the public sector catering industry. From contract caterers and in-house teams to suppliers and innovators, it was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people and organisations making a real difference in the sector.

“It was a brilliant evening,” Paul said. “It was a chance to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new relationships. Conversations throughout the night highlighted the shared challenges and opportunities, from evolving customer expectations to the ongoing focus on efficiency, quality and sustainability.

“What really stood out was the energy in the room. There’s a real sense that, as an industry, we’re keen to collaborate, share ideas and keep pushing standards higher.”

The event also sparked plenty of ideas for the months ahead. Hearing first-hand from operators and partners about their priorities and ambitions has given Paul and the wider Quenelles team a fresh perspective on how we can continue to support the sector.

Paul added: “We’re always looking at how we can work more closely with our partners to deliver meaningful insight and drive improvement. Events like this are invaluable for understanding where we can add the most value.”
